Chicken Satay Skewers

Chicken satay is the superior way to eat chicken on a stick. Don't try and tell us otherwise, we're not listening.


Serves 1


Step 1
Add peanut butter, light soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, ginger powder and roasted garlic cloves in oil to a bowl. Set aside.
Step 2
Season your chicken thighs with salt, pepper, turmeric, curry powder, Chinese five spice, chilli flakes and Togarashi.
Step 3
Drizzle with vegetable oil and marinate for as long as you can.
Step 4
Soak your bamboo skewers in water for around half an hour, so they don’t burn. Cut your chicken into pieces and place onto your skewers.
Step 5
Place the skewers into a very hot pan for around three minutes on each side.
Step 6
Next, put them into the oven at 180c for about 10 minutes. Let the chicken rest after removing from the oven.
Step 7
Spread the peanut sauce over the chicken skewers and serve.
