Chilli Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

Ingredients

Method

Step 1

Separate the wings into drums and flats and wash with lemon juice and vinegar

Step 2

Add the cornflour to a bowl along with paprika and chicken seasoning and mix well

Step 3

Season the wings with salt and pepper, then toss in the cornflour

Step 4

Heat a pan with enough oil to deep fry to 150ºC and finely dice the chillies and the garlic

Step 5

Tap off any excess flour from the chicken and carefully drop into the oil

Step 6

Remove the chicken from the oil after 6 minutes and leave them to rest on a wire rack, then increase the oil temperature to 190ºC and fry for a further 3 minutes

Step 7

Place the chicken back on a wire rack to drain. Once drained, place in a bowl

Step 8

In the meantime, make the sauce by mixing soy sauce and honey in a saucepan over a low heat until it becomes nice and thin, stirring constantly

Step 9

Add the garlic and chilli to the sauce and turn off the heat once it has begun to bubble

Step 10

Allow the sauce to cool for a minute or so, then pour over the wings and toss. Serve and enjoy!
