Ingredients (9)

Serves 6

40g fine cornmeal

120g plain/all purpose flour

60g granulated sugar

3tbsp honey

1/2tsp salt

1/2tsp baking powder

1 egg

75g unsalted butter

40g whole milk

Method

Step 1

In a bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder and melt 45g of butter


Step 2

Add the egg, melted butter and mix again before adding the milk a little at a time, stirring continuously so that the mixture is smooth


Step 3

Melt 20g butter in a skillet or ovenproof dish and pour in the cornbread mix


Step 4

Place in the oven at 190ºC for 20 minutes. In the meantime, make the glaze by mixing honey and 10g butter


Step 5

Remove the bread from the oven and brush over the glaze, serve and enjoy!
