Gruyère Mac and Cheese

This mac and cheese is so creamy and yummy, any cheese lover would happily eat it all up!


Serves 3


Step 1
Boil the macaroni and dice a shallot
Step 2
Melt butter in a saucepan and add the diced shallot to cook for a minute before adding the flour. Once the flour and butter are mixed together, add milk gradually until you have a smooth and runny consistency. Let it thicken for about 5 minutes on a low heat
Step 3
Once thickened, season with nutmeg, salt, pepper and mustard. Turn off the heat and add the gruyère and cheddar. Add the cooked macaroni and transfer to a dish before adding chopped rosemary, breadcrumbs and parmesan
Step 4
Put under the grill for no more than 10 minutes and you’re ready to serve and enjoy
