High protein and low fat burgers that don't sacrifice the incredible flavour of gyros!
Start by halving your chicken breasts horizontally. Then, add to a bowl with fat free yogurt, salt, pepper, diced garlic cloves, parsley, paprika, basil, oregano, chilli powder and juice of 1/2 lemon. Once your chicken has marinated for at least an hour, add them to the air fryer for 15 mins at 180C (don’t overcrowd the air fryer tray, you may need to do 2 at a time)
Next grill your halloumi. Slice it into thin pieces and place under your grill or fry until golden brown on both sides. Whilst it’s grilling make your tzatziki, in a bowl combine 100g fat free Greek yoghurt, 1/2 grated cucumber (squeeze and drain to remove excess water), mint, garlic granules, salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon
Assemble your burger. Slice your chicken, then layer onto the burger bun base tzatziki, chilli sauce, salad, chicken, halloumi and then the burger top (also layered with tzatziki and chilli sauce. Enjoy!
