Method

Step 1

Start by crushing your Doritos to a crumb then placing them into a mixing bowl

Step 2

Next, add your instant yeast to a measuring jug of warm water. In a separate bowl, combine your flour, granulated sugar and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture then cover with cling film and leave to rest for 30 minutes

Step 3

Chop your sausages in half and then your mozzarella block into similar size pieces (refer to video for guidance). On to each skewer place a sausage then mozzarella slice

Step 4

(Optional) Cover the sausage and mozzarella sticks with cornstarch, making sure to remove any excess. This will help the batter stick

Step 5

Next, prepare a pan of oil over a high heat. Once the batter has finished resting pour it into a long cylindrical container. Quickly dip in a stick to the batter, roll in the Doritos crumb, then place into the oil. Fry until golden brown and they’re ready!
