Try these Lebanese flatbreads with olive oil and zaatar. Mix it up by adding cheese, and topping with vegetables! Taste so good!


Serves 4


Step 1
Dissolve the dry active yeast in the lukewarm water. Then, add flour, salt, and sugar to a separate bowl. Make a well and add yeast mixture, followed by 2tbsp olive oil
Step 2
Work the mixture into a dough using your hands and knead for 5 min or until elastic. The dough should spring back when you poke it. Shape the dough into a ball, place in a large bowl, lightly add some oil to the top, and cover with plastic wrap or a tea towel. Set aside somewhere warm for 45mins
Step 3
Turn the dough into a series of smaller balls depending on how many you want and the size you want, cover and leave to rest for another 15 minutes
Step 4
Roll the balls flat, into a thin flatbread shape. Then spread on a mixture of zaatar and olive oil onto the top of the flatbread dough
Step 5
Put in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 8 minutes. Serve with whatever fresh vegetables you have in your fridge, preferably tomatoes, cucumber and olives!
