This hummus and shawarma dish is so tasty and perfect for Veganuary or just as a tasty treat! Serve it with pitta or tortilla wraps for a meal that everyone will love

Step 1
If using dried chickpeas, soak if using dried chickpeas and peel if desired
Step 2
Add the chickpeas, tahini, garlic and garlic oil, half of the lemon juice, cumin, salt and pepper to a food processor and blend, gradually adding olive oil and water until smooth
Step 3
Mince the garlic and shallot and add to a frying pan with oil. Once translucent, add the shawarma, Cajun seasoning, the remaining lemon juice and cook through
Step 4
Serve the houmous in a bowl and top with cumin powder, Cajun seasoning and the shawarma, serve and enjoy!
