Switch up your brunch game with my spicy shakshuka


Serves 2


Step 1
Dice the onion and gently fry in a pan till softened, then add the garlic and spices; fry till aromatic
Step 2
Next, dice your jalapeños and add to the pan with the tomato puree, fry for a couple more minutes.
Step 3
Add the tomato sauce and a splash of water and allow the whole mix to bubble until thickened.
Step 4
Once reduced slightly, make wells in the sauce, and crack the eggs in. Cover with a lid and leave for 2 minutes, or until the white of the eggs are cooked.
Step 5
Finally, with the heat off, you can dress your shakshuka with all of your remaining ingredients, then spoon out and enjoy!
