Ingredients
Serves 4
Method
Step 1
Start by creaming the softened butter with the sugar
Step 2
Add the egg and vanilla extract and whisk until combined
Step 3
Add salt, bicarbonate of soda and plain flour and fold in
Step 4
Add the chocolate chips, fold in, cover and refrigerate for an hour
Step 5
Once refrigerated, scoop out 2tbsp of the dough per cookie, roll into balls and place on a baking tray at least 4 inches apart
Step 6
Top with plain chocolate and bake in the oven at 200ºC/180ºC fan for 10 minutes. Top with coarse salt, serve and enjoy

Despite not having an electric whisk, this recipe was really easy to follow and resulted in delicious cookies. Will definitely be baking another batch soon!
